TCL × IFA 2024
Lighting Design & Interactive Control
For IFA 2024 in Berlin, Saint Berlin created a large-scale red cube installation for TCL. GEN114 was responsible for the lighting design and technical implementation inside the structure.
Taking inspiration from the cube-shaped exterior, we developed a lighting concept that extended the architectural language into the interior. A central part of the project was connecting the illuminated cubes with the content displayed on the LED wall, creating a cohesive visual experience.
To achieve this, we developed custom presentation software in TouchDesigner to manage the LED wall content and control. The visuals were simultaneously routed into MadMapper, allowing the lighting installation to dynamically respond to the content on screen.
With weeks of development culminating in a single keynote presentation, the project required careful planning, precise synchronization and a strong focus on operational reliability. Our goal was to create a visually consistent environment while ensuring a stable and dependable system throughout the event.
